The Sir Wrangler Breyer
Wrangler has now been immortalized as a Breyer Model, available 1998 and 1999. He is portrayed as he looked during
his show career. |
Our daughter, Linze Bard,
collects Breyers. At the NW Breyerfest show in Puyallup, Washington in 1996, we
listened to Stephanie Macejko explain how they recruit new models. Linze asked me to
submit Wrangler. He would be a perfect role model, being the leading sire of youth
horses. Breyer gets 1,000 requests a year. I sent Stephanie information
and color photo copies of him and his progeny in all facets of life. She explained
that their line was set for the next year but she would keep the information in her
file. However she put one of the photos on her wall! |
The next
Breyerfest I had more information plus a Breyer model painted like Wrangler. I gave
this package to Stephanie. She called back one month later and said OK! They
chose a running model that originally was the Black Beauty mold. What an honor! |

This was the model for the little Hagen-Renaker porcelain statues and postcard puzzles. |
